100%-workload, Kirchheimbolanden (Rheinland-Pfalz) — hybrid (2 days/week in office)
As a Customs & Logistics Specialist, you take full ownership of customs processes across our group, with a focus on our sites in Germany and the UK. You handle documentation, ensure compliance, and coordinate with authorities to guarantee smooth cross-border flows. In addition, you monitor transport ticket cases and collaborate with shipping companies to improve processes and minimize future issues. With your expertise, you and the team continuously strengthen our customs and logistics setup.
Your tasks:
- Manage all customs processes and documentation for imports and exports in Germany and the UK, ensuring compliance with EU, UK, and international regulations.
- Act as the main point of contact for customs authorities, brokers, and internal stakeholders, keeping records accurate and up to date.
- Collaborate closely with supply chain, operations, and finance teams to ensure smooth cross-border flows.
- Create, formalize, and continuously improve customs-related processes across the group, while monitoring regulatory changes and implementing best practices.
- Support audits and internal reporting on customs and trade compliance.
- Monitor transport cases (e.g. damaged goods) and analyze issues together with shipping companies.
- Drive process improvements with transport providers to reduce recurring problems.
What you should bring:
- Proven experience in customs clearance and compliance in an international environment.
- Education or strong professional background in logistics, customs, or international trade.
- Analytical mindset with attention to detail, accuracy, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently, while communicating clearly in English and German and collaborating across teams.
